What am I joining?
When you “join”, you are commiting to the values of our organization. Our organization is a non-profit association under the laws of the state of Texas (USA). According to Texas law, a non-profit association is a group of three or more people organized for community or charitable work. As a member, you are only obligated to abide by our Code of Conduct and act in accordance with reasonable ethical, legal, and moral norms.
How much does it cost?
Joining is free. There are no membership dues or expectations for any financial contributions of any kind. We do not actively solicit donations and are not seeking tax exempt status. We are not a 501 tax organization. In the future (beyond June 11, 2021), as we develop some of our envisioned programs , we may request small contributions for specific community or humanitarian needs.
What are my obligations and responsibilities?
To act in a courteous, respectful manner to all people and, where possible, to find ways to serve others. We work with community organizations to find opportunities where someone is in pain, needs assistance, or to look for areas in the community needing a helping hand.
