About

What We Are

Our Human Church is an ecumenical association of persons commited to a spiritual way of life. Though Christian centric, we welcome people of all faiths to share their world view and work with us to foster a global society free from hatred, violence, judgment, and defeat. We are not a political, activist, or social movement organization, but a group of people who believe in being human.

We do not judge ourselves on the past or on the weaknesses that are inherent in being human. We believe every individual is capable of achieving deep spiritual awakening. We were created by an entity we call God, Allah, Atman, and many other names, and that most believe is the singular force and impetus of the Universe.

Mission

Our mission as people of faith, love, and hope, is to make this reality we experience to be vibrant, joyous, and free of pain and suffering. We believe helping our fellow human, protecting the sustainability and quality of our environment, and working toward justice, harmony, and peace. These are the fundamental responsibilities of each person. We believe in personal responsibility, equanimous behavior, and forgiveness. Our values are peace, tolerance, justice, equality, and fairness in all avenues of life. Our focus is growing spiritually and achieving the highest quality of life for all people, our fellow species, and the physical well-being of our home planet, Earth.

What We Do

Our long-term vision is an organization that joins together to serve one another and enable everyone to work toward their own spiritual awakening. To us, this is not a mystical journey, but one of daily service, contemplation, study, and prayer. We believe God, our universal benefactor and object of our devotion, provides us with all the tools we need to reach spiritual maturity and be of benefit to everyone. We can all be ministers to those who are struggling with their own spiritual quest. We can be servants of the broader scope of humanity at the local and global level.
